About the Role

You will own the application layer of our deployments from end to end, across both frontend and backend systems. You will take customer requirements through to software that works with messy production data and remains stable as each deployment grows.

This is a senior role with significant autonomy. You will own the product surface, set the engineering bar for the application layer, and mentor junior full-stack engineers. The work moves quickly and starts close to the customer, so you should be comfortable prototyping in a live environment and turning successful prototypes into reliable products.

What You Will Work On

  • Own the application layer across deployments, from customer requirements to a shipped and stable product surface.
  • Build and maintain frontend and backend systems that work with real production data.
  • Drive consistency, quality, and stability as the application evolves.
  • Set engineering standards for the application layer.
  • Mentor junior full-stack engineers.
  • Prototype directly with customers, validate solutions quickly, and harden what works into reliable software.

Requirements

  • At least 6 years of experience building production applications across frontend and backend systems.
  • Experience working in critical operational environments where reliability and uptime matter.
  • A track record of independently owning a product surface.
  • Strong TypeScript and React skills.
  • Experience with a modern backend stack such as Node.js, Python, or Go.
  • Production experience with relational databases, API design, and cloud deployment.
  • A strong bias toward shipping, with the ability to prototype with customers and harden solutions afterward.
  • Experience at a top-tier technology company, startup, or forward-deployed engineering organization.
